Hi Everyone,
In what feels like the blink of an eye, we are already halfway through 2024. My youngest grandson, Noah, is just a few months away from his first birthday and it reminds me each day of how important it is to pause and hold on to the important moments before they fly by.
As you know, MVCU completed a conversion of our core systems earlier this month, finally – and successfully! – merging all members into unified platforms. This not only marked the final step in the merger between MVCU and RTN Federal Credit Union, but the end of twelve months of preparation and hard work by both MVCU and RTN’s talented team members.
Now, all MVCU members are banking on unified, convenient platforms and have seamless access to our 19 retail branches located from southern New Hampshire to the south shore of Massachusetts!
Over the years, I’ve heard many horror stories about failed system conversions. In the worst cases, some conversions have caused issues that take years to rectify. I am thrilled that this is NOT the case for our MVCU family.
Our executive leaders for the system conversion, Michael Valley for MVCU and Nicole James for RTN, provided consistent leadership to our teams for this difficult task. Our project manager, Vincent Hui, did an outstanding job ensuring that we considered all the technical and operational aspects of the conversion. Our teams in data validation, digital banking, information technology, lending, operations, accounting, member support, in the branches and all areas maintained an astonishing level of focus and attention to detail as they checked for nuances and errors. Their efforts were critical to our success, and I am so grateful to work alongside them!
I have been a part of several great and strong teams throughout my career, but I have never worked with a team of people so committed to creating a positive member experience before, during and after a core conversion. We quadruped our call center staff to help minimize wait times and increased staffing at branch locations to ensure our members’ experience was pleasant and all questions could be answered. I was so inspired to see the extreme level of commitment to our members and colleagues across the various channels and groups within our OneTeam!
I also want to thank YOU, our wonderful members, for your cooperation and patience throughout this process. It is your continued support that keeps our team motivated and passionate about the work we do and the communities we serve!
This summer, take advantage of any opportunity to pause, rest, reflect and enjoy the present moment with loved ones. It’ll pass by quicker than we think! Thank you for being a valued member of Merrimack Valley Credit Union.
Sincerely,
