Hi Everybody, While the months of November and December can be hectic, the holidays are the very time of the year when we should pause for reflection and gratitude. I have been reflecting and feel very grateful for many things in my life. First, I am so thankful for my family, which grew a little bit bigger last month with the addition of my third grandson, Noah! I am also so grateful to be part of our OneTeam at Merrimack Valley Credit Union (MVCU) and for the many ways that we support our communities.
In a recent meeting, my team discussed the idea of elevating people. At our credit union, we are not just meeting the financial needs of the members that we serve. We are helping you achieve your goals, walking you through the important milestones of your life and watching you and your families grow and succeed within our communities. Each day when we arrive at work, we strive to elevate you.
Elevating people is a part of our DNA as a credit union. At MVCU, we do that by providing the very best financial products that are delivered by team members who genuinely care about you. We also provide other services, such as our first-time homebuyers seminars and financial consulting for those looking to make smart investments. We hold SHRED-IT days and food and toy drives to give back to our neighbors in need. We also host annual holiday parties for community members of all ages to enjoy (I hope to see you there next month!). These exciting initiatives keep us motivated and enthusiastic about the work we do within our communities.
I am also excited about the upcoming launch of our financial literacy program, Financial Edge. This program provides free financial education courses, along with a digital library of courses and tools, for our community partners throughout the region. We’re excited to launch the program with the Plymouth Public Library this month! Financial Edge provides participants enrolled in the program with the resources they need to build financial knowledge with the goal of empowering them to achieve financial wellness.
We are constantly looking for new ways to elevate our people. If you have ideas or needs that we can help you with, don’t hesitate to let an MVCU team member know. We are here for you! And this month, remember to pause to reflect on all that you are grateful for.
Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for being a part of our credit union family!
